MEET OUR PRESIDENT

DR. DIANA S. GRAY

How It All Started

My journey into the world of business consulting began with a passion for entrepreneurship and a drive to help others succeed. From a young age, I embarked on my entrepreneurial path, founding my first business at the tender age of 17. This early venture ignited a spark within me, fueling my determination to support entrepreneurs in achieving their goals and transforming their companies.

My entrepreneurial journey took a significant turn when I established Arts In Motion, Incorporated, now recognized as Montgomery Arts Academy, in March 2006. This endeavor provided invaluable lessons and experiences that shaped my approach to business consulting. Through the trials and triumphs of building and managing my own company, I gained a profound understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face, as well as the strategies needed to overcome them.

With each success and setback, I honed my skills and deepened my commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship. Today, as a seasoned business consultant, I leverage my wealth of experience and expertise to guide entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Whether you're just starting out or aiming to elevate your business to new heights, I am dedicated to providing the guidance and support you need to succeed.

At DSG Business Consulting, you'll find more than just a consultant – you'll discover a trusted partner committed to your success. Let's embark on this journey together and turn your entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

This What Happened

This What Happened - A transformative journey fueled by passion and purpose.

As an entrepreneur, I've witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by businesses lacking resources and direction. That's why I founded the PassionPreneur Club, a vibrant community of women entrepreneurs dedicated to mutual learning and business growth.

My own journey took an unexpected turn while employed as a public school choral director. When my boss announced plans to replace me, I seized the opportunity to break free from the confines of traditional employment. In April 2016, I made the bold decision to "fire the boss" and embrace a new path as an entrepreneur.

From this pivotal moment, I embarked on a remarkable journey of self-discovery and professional growth. As an Executive Coach and Organizational Development Practitioner, I founded DSG Business Consulting, Incorporated, with a mission to lead transformative change within organizations. With a focus on challenging and evolving existing practices, I've helped educational institutions, arts and culture companies, and nonprofits thrive in today's dynamic landscape.

Today, I proudly serve as Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team, leveraging my expertise as a certified professional speaker, leadership trainer, and executive coach. My passion lies in empowering individuals to elevate their mindset, define their unique purpose, and unlock their full potential in business and beyond.

"This What Happened" is more than just a story – it's a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and unwavering passion. Join me on this extraordinary journey of growth, transformation, and limitless possibilities.

My Education

My educational journey has been a testament to my dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. I earned my bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Church Music from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, laying the foundation for my career in education.

Building upon my passion for music and teaching, I pursued a master's degree in Music Education at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. However, my academic interests expanded beyond music, leading me to delve into curriculum development and school administration.

To further advance my career in education leadership, I obtained a master's degree in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Seeking to deepen my understanding of school administration and leadership principles, I earned an Education Specialist degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, in 2012.

Continuing my pursuit of academic excellence, I completed my highest degree, a Doctorate of Education specializing in Global Training and Development, from Northcentral University in Phoenix, Arizona. This comprehensive education has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of educational theory and practice, empowering me to make a meaningful impact in the field of education.

More About Me

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am deeply committed to serving my community and enriching the lives of others. As Minister of Music at my church, I play a pivotal role in enhancing the worship experience and fostering spiritual growth among congregants.

In addition to my church responsibilities, I serve as the director of a vibrant community choir and nonprofit organization, the Montgomery, AL Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Through this platform, I strive to promote the transformative power of music and foster a sense of unity and inspiration within our community.

My dedication to community service extends to my involvement in various organizations, including the Junior League of Montgomery, where I proudly serve as a member and leader. As a member of the Project Management Institute South Alabama Chapter, United States Minority Contractor, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Beta Nu Omega Chapter, I am actively engaged in initiatives aimed at driving positive change and empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I am passionate about participating in outreach programs and community service events organized by these esteemed organizations, leveraging my skills and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through my involvement, I am honored to contribute to the betterment of our community and uphold the values of service, leadership, and compassion.
